Tiempo

Création 2021

Continuing the exploration of his signature apparatus, the Cyr wheel, Juan Ignacio Tula invites Justine Berthillot to co-write and share the stage of Tiempo.

In this creation, two characters inhabit a confined space that spins on itself, like a revolving stage at arm's length, filled with basins and wandering movements, where the inside of the Cyr wheel becomes the heart of the play. From this duo emerge ordinary, almost daily scenes, offering relational stories that are both supportive and solitary, from which one can only escape through projection or fantasy. And from this way of life where everything becomes a satellite, with bodies and objects orbiting, Tiempo then transforms into a swirling and hypnotic dance.
